Our take: Cha Mulan sits in a genuinely under-served lane — it's not standard bubble tea, and it's not a TCM clinic.
Think slow-brewed oolong bases layered with beauty-functional ingredients: peach gum, white fungus, Korean fruit vinegar, goji berries.
The $6.90 Radiant Mulan with peach gum and white fungus is the drink that defines the brand — refreshing, lightly nourishing, and far more interesting than anything in the standard boba queue.
A real differentiator is the hot option, which most competitors skip entirely.
Fair warning: one recurring gripe is inconsistent peach gum portioning — some visits deliver generous scoops, others feel thin for the price.
The no-sugar option also reads flat to many palates; we'd echo the in-house advice and ask for at least 25% sugar.
The brittle lid plastic is a minor but real annoyance noted across outlets.
Service is a genuine strength across the board — staff routinely offer free tasting samples and walk first-timers through the menu with patience that's genuinely unusual at this price point.
Verdict: Best suited to health-conscious regulars willing to pay $6–7 for something functional and flavourful.
First-timers should start with the Radiant Mulan at 25–50% sugar — zero-sugar drinkers may leave underwhelmed.

What customers say
Cha Mulan draws consistently strong praise for its distinctive health-oriented tea menu, featuring Chinese herbal ingredients like peach gum, white fungus, goji berries, and Korean fruit vinegar — a notable departure from conventional bubble tea.
Signature drinks such as the Radiant Mulan, Collagen Mulan, Cleanse Mulan, and Silk Mulan attract repeat customers, with many appreciating the hot drink option, customisable sugar and ice levels, and the availability of free tasting samples that staff proactively offer.
Staff across outlets — with named mentions of Alan and Joanna at Suntec City — are repeatedly highlighted as friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.
Minor criticisms include inconsistent peach gum portion sizes (particularly at the Suntec outlet compared to Jewel Changi), brittle cup lids that can snap, wait time management during peak Grab Food orders, and some inconsistency in cup design across outlets.

“I love this outlet! okay I've never been to other outlets but this outlet is very nice and very accommodating of my requests like putting the drink into my bottle instead, or telling me that I can collect my drink after work instead of two drinks at once etc etc I really appreciate it and I've been loving the drinks since I started working at suntec hahah”

Visited Cha Mulan and was impressed by how much effort goes into their beverages. The drinks are made from recipes that require hours of brewing and preparation, which makes every cup feel thoughtful and worthwhile. Highly recommend the Radiant Mulan, especially with the peach gum and white fungus combination. It feels both refreshing and nourishing at the same time, without being overly sweet. What stood out most was the variety of oolong flavours available, along with the flexibility to customise sugar and ice levels according to personal preference. The quality, ingredients, and preparation easily justify the price. Definitely worth trying if you enjoy healthier tea-based beverages with depth of flavour.

Just tried the Cleanse Mulan from Cha Mulan and it was surprisingly refreshing! Light, smooth and not overly sweet — perfect if you want something clean and soothing. The drink had a very calming taste and felt really hydrating, especially on a warm day. I also liked the aesthetic packaging and overall vibe of the brand. Would definitely come back to try more drinks!
